The Directorate works to strategic delivery themes:

Ensure that all NHS Trusts become Foundation Trusts within an appropriate timeframe or that alternative arrangements are in place.

Co-ordinate the delivery of an East Midlands’ Transforming Community Services programme

Ensure an appropriate range of providers is available, working on ‘a level playing field’ to deliver convenience, quality and choice

Ensure that commissioning systems and business processes are fair and transparent and increasingly are developed to drive up service quality, including the processes to manage disputes.
