This document refreshes the NHS East Midlands strategy for delivery and should be read in conjunction with the 2009/10 version. It re-affirms our commitment to delivering our vision while acknowledging a changing context in delivering it. It is intended to be a clear description of the way in which the SHA will operate to add value to our front line organisations and oversee the delivery of our clinical vision.
The last three years have seen NHS East Midlands grow in the understanding of its role and the development of a range of systems, processes and underpinning infrastructure which allow us to lead the NHS in the East Midlands efficiently and effectively.
Better Health, Better Care
NHS East Midlands has published its strategic plan for 2009/10 called 'Better health, Better Care'.
The document refreshes early thinking from Better Health, Better Care 2007 and reaffirms our values and vision. It identifies the progress we expect to see in delivering real changes to services highlighted in From Evidence to Excellence (which is our regional vision as part of the national Next Stage Review).
